08.01.12 August Goals

Lots of new things going on at CrossFit Stealth, so read up!

1. AUGUST GOALS: Goal time is back at CrossFit Stealth for the month of August! Take some time to think of a measurable goal (avoid goals such as “get better at double unders or improve my deadlift”) and write your goal on the whiteboard when you come in!

2. TOUGH MUDDER: Justin Rishman gladly volunteered his services and set up a team for CrossFit Stealth for this year's Tough Mudder. The steps are simple to joining it. Just go to www.toughmudder.com, from there select Events and select Tri-State for Oct. 20th and 21st. Next they choose “Participants Register Now” and from there they need to do is select “Join an Exisiting Team” for Saturday. The team name is “CrossFit Stealth” with the password being “crossfit” and from there fill out the registration and pay. The more people we have on the team, the cheaper it becomes. So lets all get on board. Currently the price is $145 until the end of August, then increases to $180 after that. Currently 81% of Saturday's registration is full so the sooner you join the better!

3. CROSSFIT FOR JIMMY D: On Saturday, August 25th we will be hosting the 1st annual “CrossFit for Jimmy D”or The Jimmy D WOD fundr

aiser. On this day we will be doing a workout to honor a local hero who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Please show your support and join us in honoring him, and everything he stood for. The event is open to everyone and we welcome everyone to participate.  We have reached out to a couple other CrossFit affiliates in the area to take part in this event too. All age and ability levels are welcome. The event will kick off at 10 am with the beginner workout (so if you know anyone who might be interested in trying CrossFit, this will be a perfect opportunity to invite them). After the beginner WOD, the members of CrossFit Stealth with take part in a more grueling and intense workout at 11am. We ask that each participant donate $20 to the James D'heron Memorial Foundation (Sign up Here). In exchange for your support, we have a TON of prizes up for grabs and to raffle off. A lot of major CrossFit companies have showed their support for this event and have offered up a lot of awesome prizes. If you have any questions please email CF4jimmyd@gmail.com
